deville 2005 oil pan gasket leak

      Is there an additive that can seal this type of leak. My car is under warranty and the mechanic will not repair, he insists in putting in the additive.

No, ther is no magic juice to fix this properly.

I would go to a different Cadillac Dealer and get them to do it.

You have to be very very careful...it could only be a pan gasket leak or the worse oil leak that comes from the block of the Northstar and is a major job.

I agree about another dealer.  I had the same problem on my 2005.  I'm told it was a factory overtorque problem, and helicoils had to be placed in the block, then resealed. Worked well, and under warranty, but calls for r&r. UNLESS SOMETHING HAS CHANGED, YOUV'E GOT A HEAVY REPAIR LIGHTWEIGHT looking at your ride. Best luck.
