1962 cadillac tranny problem?

Hey All,

I have owned my 62 eldo for 4 months. It has a hesitency between first and second gear on excelleration. That pause is always there, but it always transitions to the higher gear. I was curious to know if anyone has insight into this year tranny.

Hi Art,

Check the fluid level too. Procedure to do this;

- Warm up the engine by taking the car for a ride
- Then get it trough every gear for a couple of meters
- Put it in neutral
- Let the engine run at idle and remove the dipstick
- The level should ofcourse be between the upper and lower mark
