hi,
are the exhaust manifolds the same parts on the 500ci 76 CDV as the 500ci 76 eldos, especially the drivers side?
regards, Jeff

According to the parts book, right side is the same, left side is different. 76-78 E cars do have the same left side manifold,

The driver's side on the Eldo is the same from 68-78 and are way different then the coupe.

The rear drive cars are the same for the driver's side from 68-76.

The passenger side is the same for both the Eldo and Rear Drive cars from 68-76 but there are two different types.  Some had the heat riser flapper valve and some did not.  I have found no reason why some have one and not the other?  Seems to be ramdon for years etc, just kind of a 50/50 thing.  The two manifolds are slightly different length so if you have stock exhaust you cannot switch them.

I have seen the driver's side cracked on both Eldos and Rear drive cars but I do not remember seeing any passenger side manifolds cracked yet.  One person thought that maybe it was the heat shield over the manifold that gave warm air to the air cleaner that was at fault.  Cadillac did not use this till ? (70 or 71 not sure) and this person said they have not seen any of the early ones broken.  Maybe this makes sense why I have not seen any bad passenger's side manifolds.

I know, more than you wanted to know.
