I have a 41 radio that I want to sell, but I want to test it first. how do I test it to see?
(and I don' t have a 6 volt battery)???

If you have a battery charger and if it has a 6V setting use that. It not see if you can borrow one.

Never, never, under any circumstances, use a battery charger for powering a radio!. You have to have a power supply that is filtered in some way to keep from ruining the vibrator. If you do have a storage battery to power the set, a charger can be used, to help keep the battery charged. the battery would act as a filter condenser.

Unless the '41 radio has a solid state vibrator, battery polarity doesn't matter.
