I'm trying to make a decision as to which supplier to use but I'm having some difficulty.  Seems like every supplier claims their wheels are the best and American made.  However, when I talk to them on the phone I get bad vibes in regards to quality and shipping.  Two of the most important things to me.

I'd like to hear from people that purchased and/or installed chrome spoke wheels on their cars.  If you used a supplier that you feel is the best then please gove me their informaiton.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Eric,
Try Wheel Vintiques, they make a replica of the 50's Cadillac wires and their product is first rate.  You might spend a little more for them than some of the other suppliers out there touting their wares on eBay Motors.

Their website is not the easiest to navigate, here is the link to the page displaying the Cadillac wire wheel, you will have to scroll part way down.  Do not know why the picture is so blurry but I can attest to quality of the wheels.

I would also check with Coker Tire.

They have excellent customer service  and don't jerk you around. I have dealt with them in person at their shop in Chattanooga and over the phone. I have bought 3 sets of tires from them and have never been disappointed in the quality.

Corky Coker is a collector of vintage cars and is very active and supportive of the hobby.

Thanks guys.  I've checked them both out.  So far so good.

I'm hoping there are more people out there willing to share their experiences with the wire wheels.

Coker's catalog is more helpful than their website.

They sell wire wheels made in the USA by Dayton Wire Wheel. I couldn't tell if all their wire wheels arevmade by Dayton or just some of them. Anyway, I would call and talk to one of their people to get the straight dope.
