Called Metro Moulded Parts and they have no listing for a model 60S or even a model 60 for subject. Can (will) anyone help with an alternate source? or is the rear fender the same part number as another Caddie or La Salle model?

Stone guards are the same # as the ones for the 1938, 1939, & 1940 60S. nothing else, you might try looking in the Directory for other owners and see what they have done. Hope this helps.

When I restored my 40 60S a long time ago, Metro had the stone guards & Barry's right, they fit all 3 years. They have to be glued on, but look fine.

One of iur guys in this area, just finished a 38-60S. He bought new rubber pieces, but I don't know where from. His restorer made new steel bases for them, fitted them to the fender, then cemented the rubber onto the new base plate. They look very good. I thought he said he'd gotten the rubber from Metro.

Sort of funny.... I bought my 38-60S in 1960, when Cadillac still had lots of parts for those cars in stock. I didn't particularly like the rubber guards, and the ones on thr car were shot, so I just brazed pieces over the holes, and leaded over them. It looks good, but it's not right.

Metro Molded Parts still has them for 38-40 60S, part #FS25 @ $190.60 pair. No, they're not gold plated, just black rubber. The metal backing like the original is nice, but you don't need it, just do a neat job with contact cement, the holes won't show thru.
