Have had several 97-99 caddy northstar engine last few months that idle too low and the low oil light comes on and warning to shut off engine.   Happens when in gear, stopped, and with a/c on which is slowest idle time seems like.  Light comes on under about 775 rpm and chimes and warning comes on around 650 rpm.   Is there any way to get these things too idle alittle fastter?

There are no idle speed adjustments, I would clean the throttle body and also remove and clean the iac and passages in the TB.

around 800 rpm is about where gm cars idle with the ac on around 650 when compressor is off...i would make sure you actually have the crankcase full...northstars use oil, its in their design.  mine would set the oil light off anytime it got a quart low....you may have already done this but post didnt say.....i want to say capacity is between 7 and 8 qts.  cleaning the other things along with your mass airflow sensor should help but make sure you use maf cleaner or electronics cleaner.
