Cadillac Eldorado transmission cooler 1955: Can someone tell me where those heat hoses go from the transmission cooler... I know one of them goes to the waterpump... but the other heat hose goes where??

They should both branch off the water pump.  One is the feed line and the other is the return, like going to the heater core.

I'm not so sure. On the '56 models, the other end of the hose is going in the middle of the engine block, passenger side, above the starter motor. I believe that '55 is identical.

Sorry I jumped the gun--I have a '57 and all the hoses come off the water pump.  On my car, the trans cooler hoses are routed right under the intake manifold--a GREAT place to keep them nice and hot!

Sorry, no picture and my cars are too far away. I had a look at the pictures I did from my cars, but this specific outlet is not visible. You have to search for yourself. If the exhaust manifold is installed, ou will not see the tube. You have to go under the engine; the tube is maybe 1" lenght.

Walter -

Kinda makes you think it might actually be a transmission HEATER, to maintain proper operating temperature...
