83 Eldo power seats.  The pass. seat moves up and down, left and right, tilt forward and back, etc.  The only thing it does not do is slide front to rear when I move the big joystick button.  I presume there are diff. motors for diff. movements, yes?  And the forward/backward one is shot?  Am I on the right track here?  Thanks.

One motor but three solenoids to control the flow of mechanical movement

Plus, 6 cables, 3 each side, to operate the jack screws.

If it goes forward, and not rearwards, then the cables are okay, but the Solenoid could be stuck, or burnt out.

It tilts forward and backwards, but it does NOT slide forward or backward.

Sounds like the Solenoid that controls the forward and reverse could be burnt out.

If it moves in other directions, then the motor is okay.

That sounds like good news.  I will check my manual, but is that an easy fix?  Thanks.

It's gotta be easier than that "find the heater door" escapade you went through a while back!

I finally got that controller.  Have yet to install it.  That should be another fun-filled day.
