I am trying to determine the original exterior color and trim for my 53 series 62 convertible.

Paint code 10
Trim code 48

Thank You

jeff1956

paint code 10 is probably going to be black.  i dont have a 53 spec manual so not sure about your 48 interior, but in 56 it was red bombay cloth and white leather.....most likely not the same for 53....

I'm surprised. Is this the only year that 10 was not black? I looked it up earlier and saw gray and figured I was looking at it wrong.

Guys, in the "old" days, 54 & earlier, 1 was black & 10 was a gray of some name.  Shootin' straight from the MPB & NOT from my hip. LOL.  HTH, Bob
1968 Eldorado slick top ,white/red interior
2015 Holden Ute HSV Maloo red/black interior.

I remember talking to Henry Ruby, I think, several years ago from Cadillac & LaSalle Club, Potomac Region.  He said he owned a 1953 hardtop, Court Grey with red interior.  Bradley, do you have any photos?

Ross.

According to the Authenticity Manual for Class 14, paint code 10 was French Grey in 1950, and Mist Grey in 1951 and 1952.
