Rootin Tootin Rassin Frassin Varmint %&&$#@@^%^$^!!! I am wondering why this 63 antenna is stuck in the fender. Being 63, it's a little new for me. I pulled the slider clip off where it meets the fender at top. The chrome bezel seems stuck, antenna won't come out. Anyone out there been there? Yosemite Zonz.

Huge piles of engine parts, brackets, tin, Hydramatic & Jetaway parts,  thousands of stainless moldings, dozens of perfect sedan doors.

You need to loosen the 5/16 bolt at the top.  That clamps the chrome bezel to the top of the antenna assembly.  Also make sure you remove the 3/8 or 7/16 bolt behind the antenna motor that holds the bottom on the antenna to the inner fender.  Tim

Thanks fellas. My only excuse is I'm Mr. MgGoo's last living nephew.  [I have a good excuse for everything except my crummy excuses]

Now, that's a far better picture.

Geoff, with all the trials & tribulations I've been through in this life, I can't imagine having gone through it with a normal face. I never would have survived.
