I am looking for leads on artwork from William Mitchell and possibly sketches and/or drawings of the original 1938 series 60 special concept. I have seen one print that has been passed around, but am looking to see if there is anything else for it -other views, etc.
thanks for any help.

There were several pictures of full size clay models, from along the way, from as early as it had the LaSalle nameplates, through its metamorphasis to the final 60 Special. I've used them in articles that I wrote, but can't find them just now. I have the idea that more ,odels were made than sketches, that got out into the world.

The car was proposed as a coupe, and a convertible sedan; two of which were built. One of those was in an accident, and fared so poorly (structurally), that the other was destroyed. There are pictures of that one, also.

I believe that some, if not all of those pictures have appeared in the SS, years ago, but I can't tell which issues.

Possibly, the best known sketch by Bill Mitchell,  was the one of a 38-60S, coming at you like a rocket.
