I just purchased a 1956 Eldorado with gold Sabre wheels. The cap however is chrome, is this how they originally came?  I have a 1956 Fleetwood with gold Sabre wheels and the center caps are gold anodised on that vehicle.  I have seen gold Sabre wheels with chrome caps on other cars.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Graham.

On gold sabres, the caps should be gold plated to match the gold anodized wheel.
