I bought one on ebay as a spare to refurbish and when I got it I realized it isn't the same.  As far as i know mine could be wrong too, but i doubt it.  Any guesses?

The one you are holding, looks like the one that was on my 1939 V-8.

Hi Tom,

I have a 1938 60S and that you bought sure looks like the emblem on mine. Seems to me there is a difference between the "lesser" series and the 75 and 90 series.

Happy Holidays.

The one on your V-16 grille is correct for 38, 39 and 40.

So is the one in my hand for a 39 special or for all Cadillacs?  I understand the 60S had a different emblem.  Anyone want to buy it?

Tom  the one you are holding is for 1939,as I mentioned earlier, and according to my parts books-fits all series in 1939 [60s 61 75 ]. In 1938 the 90 series had "stubby" wings and the 60 series had much longer wings. You would know the difference if you saw them to gether. I was going to send pictures from my brochures, but they were too fuzzy to be of use.

Tom  I should have said-"fits all V-8 series" in 1939. Sorry for the confusion.

Tom, My 1940 60S Sedan has the longer version you are holding.
