Fitting '37 LaSalle 322 cu.in. flathead V-8 to a '36 Cadillac 60 transmission

Looking for information regarding installing a '37 Lasalle 322 cu.in. engine and bolting up to a Cadillac series 60 transmission.  Appreciate any information you can provide.

Bayside I don'tsee any  proublem bolting up a '322 to anny year 346 CID. no heartburn at all.

The 34 to 36 LaSalle & 36 - 60 series trans  is totally different from the 37 & up trans.
You will have to use your bell housing & try to adapt it to the 37 block.
I'm not sure if you can & it's probably never been tried.
You might consider putting the complete 37 motor & trans in your car.
Look at a 37 car & do lots of comparisons.

Get to correct you there Bob if I may, My 36 carries a 1947 engine, the later engine is married to the 36 transmission.  Its certainly not a "Drop in"

I did say probably. LOL  Now that we know you're the expert, you can help him do the job. Remember your 70 series car has a different bell housing & transmission than his. The part that bolts to the block should be the same, but clutch linkage will probably be different.
