98 cadillac delegance car may not restart

OK I hope someone has the time to help . It all started with my car having a bad fuel pump . It would start with injector  cleaner and when I installed fuel pump it ran for a little then car may not restart came on . help !.?

When you turn the key to the "on" position do you hear the fuel pump? If not check the connection at the plug to the pump. Look for any black or burned spots inside the plug. Also remove the ground wire at the chassis and clean the contact area and reinstall the ground wire. With the plug still removed from the pump check the other wires with a test light while a helper turns the key to the "on" postion. You should get power at one or more wires. If nothing check the fuel pump relay. If you do have power at the pump harness plug, reconnect it to the pump and listen for it to prime when the key is turned.
Chances are either that plug is burned or the ground is bad.

My 2002 Eldorad has had the "Theft System Problem - Car May Not Restart" message for the last 12,000 miles.  It is unrelated to the fuel pump.  It is a fault with the Pass Key security system (usually in the ignition switch or a bad chip on the key).  Never had the car not start.
