Should all '59s have ID plates? Mine doesn't have one and there's no marking to indicate one was removed. I checked the whole engine room, no plate.
How can I find out the correct paint code, upholstery, etc?
Thanks.

Your paint code is 40 - 12.

That means it's a two tone car: 40 = Gotham Gold  12 = Dover White

From the photos it looks like the body is still the original color with nice original paint in the trunk to match later on. Someone painted over the roof at some time. I think the white would really look good with the gold.

- Any place to get info about "Trim 45" code? What does it mean?

Trim is the interior design scheme.

Someone with a '59 chart will have to give you the trim information.

Trim color "45" is a color called Fawn -- for the leather / cloth interior.

I don't have a color chip so I have no idea what that is.  Somebody with
a Color & Upholstery book could tell you.

Or -- just call Jenkins Interiors and ask them for a sample!!
