The right to acquire the first production 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe was just auctioned off for $87,000 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale.  The auction announced that the entire purchase price in excess of the value of the car would go to a charity.  The buyer also gets four VIP tickets to Jay Leno's show, a tour of Jay's collection, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Cadillac design studios in Detroit.  The buyer will take delivery of the car in the Cadillac design studio -- the first time this has ever been done.

Yes, I would say that the presence of Ed Welborn, GM Vice President for Design, and the 2011 CTS Coupe at Barrett-Jackson was very impressive for Cadillac lovers. (Also an orange/red "one of a kind" 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Custom by GM was auctioned here in the same way bringing in $80,000.) Great advertising for GM! Charles
