Craig

Can someone help?

I have a few questions too clarify on my 58 where certain vacuum hose are connected too. It seems that when the guy rebuilt this car the hoses weren`t put to the right spots.

1. Where does the vacuum hose from the washer bottle get connected to? Straight to manifold or somewhere near the wiper motor.

2. And is there susposed to be a t-piece in that line with another vacuum tube that goes to the on/off push button?

3. The on/off switch doesn`t work, it seems to be at the bottom of it`s travel. Does this mean that it is buggered? Can it be fixed or does anyone know were to get a good one?

4. And where does the vacuum hose come from that is connected to the wiper motor?

Does anyone have any photos or drawings on routing of vacuum hoses? HELPPPPP!

Thanks and regards

Hi Craig,

did you know there is a group specifically for '58s?

www.1958cadillac.com

From memory there is a diagram on this site of the correct 'plumbing' for these hoses.
You need to join to view the diagram.

Cheers, Rob.
