Walter

I just purchased a 1937 series 75 cadillac and having it brought up to driving standards.  The original engine is not presently in the car. I have it but a different engine was installed back in the 1960s.  I noticed that the current engine has a Carter carburetor on it.  I thought it should be a Stromberg.  Did Cadillac use different carbs on their models?  I'm wondering if a LaSalle engine was was used. Are Carter and Stromberg carbs interchangable?  Thanks again for your help.

Hi Walter,

Perhaps this chart will be of use to you. It was put together by a frequent user of this forum.
Your thought about Stromberg appears correct.
