can anyone assist in deciphering this trim tag ? Thanks for the help .....

Style # 55 6267 SX / Body # Fw 2639 / Trim # 90 / Paint # 90 / Top 1 / Acc E - H - Y

Mike Josephic CLC #3877

It's a a 1955 Eldorado (55-6267SX)

Paint code "90" is Alpine White.  Top "1" is white.  Accessory codes "E" are "EZ Eye Glass",
"H" heater and "Y" vertical power seat adjuster.

The body number indicates the approximate order in which it was built.  I don't have that info
but I suggest you click on the section on this site site titled "Authenticate Your Car" and order the
report from the Cadillac Historical Services for the complete info.

Have you found the engine number?  That's the key to findng out when your car was
built.  It's on the block and the frame.  If you can't find it or don't know, I can tell you
where to look.   It's not on the cowl data plate.  It's on the engine boss and the frame.
You'll need that number to fully authenticate your car when you send the application in.

thnx , Mike . what does "Trim 90" refer to ?

Mike Josephic CLC #3877

Trim "90" is black and white leather interior. Some Eldorados had solid color interiors, some
had two tone.  Yours has the two tone.
