Just flashed on Fox News is the alleged sighting of the legendary "Tassie" of Aboriginal folk lore. Long considered just an Aboriginal fireside story passed down through the eons from grandfather to grandson, sightings of this beast date back to the earliest Caucasion settlements also. In the last half century alleged sightings of the "Tassie" have grown in frequency, likely due to either increasing hoaxes, or if true, the expanding urban growth boundaries. Scientists are baffled by the similarities between the "Tassie" and other legendary hominids due to the large bodies of water seperating the Australian continent from the other land masses where other sightings are legend such as the Yeti, Abominable Snowman, and Sasquatch. Migration over long ocean stretches would seem to indicate a rather unique intelligence for such a savage. Legend has it that the monster is absolutely harmless, and chooses the company of humans over his own kind, if there are any. One Tasmanian family claims that the monster actually visits them occasionaly, but they prefer to honor the creatures privacy. Some hoaxes even go as far as to have sighted the monster driving a big Yank Tank automobile, though we can be sure such sightings are mere fantasy. Recent reports claim many Yank Tank entheusiests are making the trip down there from other parts Down Under to try and lure the monster out in the open. Updates to be posted as news reports are followed..

They must have taken the picture in the morning, before I shaved.

PS.   There are no Full Blood Tasmanian Aboriginees, just just some relatives living in Tasmania.   The last one, Truganini, died in 1876.
