I guess LaSalles are more obscure to some than others, right?!  The article also notes the Playboy brand - I didn't know about that one.

Call me cynical, but sure seems like a 'promotional' thing for someone to register as a brand new member and his (her) first post is a link to a commercial business website.

Granted the link takes you to a blog about cars but basically the balance of that website is a flooring distributor.

New way to try to build web-traffic?

What is the author of that article talking about a Buick LaSalle? Other than a few concept vehicles, GM never used the name again as far as I know.

I bet the idiot writer was thinking of the Buick LeSabre (sp) from about 1959 on.

Could be a Spammer, some times around 2am you see links to porn sites posted by newly registered posters.

I've heard of the Playboy car before, didn't know so few were made, who got them, the company execs? None were sold to the public.

Yes they may have confused the LaSalle with LeSabre. I did read in a book years ago they were thinking of calling the 1976 Seville a LaSalle, they even had a prototype with LaSalle emblems on it. I forget which book that was from.
