Does anyone know of a way to tighten a sun visor that won't stay up?  There is a screw to tighten but it never gets tight enough to hold the visor up.

I carefully drilled and tapped mine and used a small allen screw which you can't see. The rod that goes through the visor is probably turning in the main bracket ( part attached to the header panel ) .

Thanks for your advice.   :D  I have tried this but I am still having trouble, maybe because I haven't drilled deeply enough.  Does the hole have to go through the inner rod too?

You could always drill through the shaft, and insert a Roll Pin in place, plus glue the shaft in place to take up any looseness, but then, you wouldn't be able to replace it unless you drilled completely through.

I drilled partially into the rod. Seems to be holding just fine !
