Hello Caddy folk,

Hoping a helping hand can provide first hand knowledge of the dimension for the hole of the square body cushion pads that fit the Caddy model years 47-53.  The master parts manual indicates the dimensions and thickness of the squares (2" x 2" x 5/16& 3/16) but not the center bolt hole diameter. The part numbers are 144 7316 and 144 7317.

I appreciate the help.  Many thanks,

Brian :)

Take a look at the Steele  catalog. There are several different body mount pads listed for those years.

They have mechanical drawings of all of them with their dimensions.

One of the 2x2 pads has 1/2" holes and are 3/8" thick with a locating collar.

Another is flat 2x2 has a 15/16 " hole.

Then there are some round ones listed for those years.

Most appear to be around  1/2" thick. An eight of an inch either way probably won't matter as long as they're all the same.
