This might sound too easy but I just want to make sure:  the wiper mount marked "L" is left and the drivers side and the wiper mount moarked "R" is right and the passenger side, correct?  I know it is that way on newer cars, for some reason I thought it might be differenct on older cars.....

It refers to the car`s left or the car`s right.
