Just bought my first Cadillac, a 64 deville convertible. I'm in love with it!

For some reason I can't make sense of the VIN on the title thought?

It reads 6ym0245117

That body code is for  FLEETWOOD 60 SPECIAL.

Make any sense to you all?

Best,

I learned the hard way to check the title to the VIN when buying a car.

Sounds like the seller figured you wouldn't do that.  And you didn't.

It's pretty hard to confuse those two cars or to make a convertible out of a 4 door sedan.

Post the id tag information here.

Did you buy it from someone with multiple vehicles? Maybe they gave you the wrong title by accident.

Either way you're in a bit of a sticky wicket. Do you go a head and register the car with the wrong title and hope no one notices? No problem unless you have an insurance claim or the car you actually have turns out to be stolen.

Better get to the bottom of this ASAP.

The VIN is stamped on the front frame crossmember.  If engine is original, it will have a matching VIN# on the lower left side of the engine block just above the oil pan.  Here is the link with pictures and VIN decode info:
