Transmission rebuild advice and sources requested ('56)

Now that I have the engine working right, test driving has revealed problems with the trans:
 
Does not want to kick down (T.V. rod has been adjusted)
Slips in high gear on level ground upon mild throttle pressure, then will hook up.
Heavy driveline chatter when in reverse at times.
When idling in park, I heard faint, intermittent grinding noise.

Fluid is fresh and full.
It sounds like I have a general mess in there.

I guess my main question would be:  Any recommendations on good rebuilder within a couple hundred miles of northwest New Jersey?

I had work done on my '62's transmission some 8 years ago by Mike Bonsanti, who owns Auto Medic in Morristown, NJ. My transmission has needed NO work since then. Although I waited a while for the work to be done, he did an EXCELLENT job. Here's the link:
