Hi, my last post about '39 and '40 fender interchange definitely set me straight on that subject but raises another question. Do all series of 1939 cars use the same front and/or rear fenders and are Cadillac fenders the same as LaSalle's? I'm just looking for more options for replacement parts. Thank You!

Sorry to rain on your parade again but EVERY 39 front fender is different. Rears fit 39 61 & 39/40 LaSalles. But... there is a difference between cars with running boards or not.
If I had a car with one side mount fender, I'd be looking for the other side. You could also modify your fender into a side mount one. Which fender has the side mount? What does it say on the data plate?

Too much fun is more than you can have.

It makes no mention of 6W on the data plate. I'm not that concerned with being totally original. I just like the body style minus the sidemounts. Driver's side has a dummy tire cover and the passenger side has what looks like a owner built wheelwell. They did a decent job on both sides, I just thought finding one standard fender wouldn't be such a challenge.  Thank you for the help.
