Greetings all, I have a 40 - 5019 that needs a fuel line. The one on the car is not complete so I have no pattern to work from
I called In Line Tube and got " Lasalle, who makes that?" after that I was told they had nothing for me. I then called Classic Tube. They at least knew what a Lasalle was but the also said they had no patterns.
Soooooo, It looks like I will have to make it myself.  Does anyone have photos of the front and rear areas of the fuel line, where it transitions from the side of the frame to the tank and to the engine compartment and near the tank above the axle? Or does anyone know where I can get one made?

Thanks in advance
Fred

If you can make a mockup out of 10 gauge wire, Inline or Classic could make it for you.  Make a mechanical drawing when you're done forming the wire in place of the tubing.

Maybe I was not clear. I'm not the best wordsmith.
The problem Is I don't know how it was originally routed.
I don't have enough of the original to work from.
Classic Tube did make the offer if I had photos and measurements they would make me one
I don't think I would have a problem making one myself, I just would like to replicate the original
Unfortunately I have no idea what it looked like

Thanks

The fuel line from my 40' LaSalle convertible just happens to be laying on the bench next to my chassis. Does anyone know if copying it will work for Fred? If so, I can make a duplicate or send measurements.

Jim, Thanks, I just remembered your previous posts and looked at your photos on the restoration blog
I now know what I need for the front
If you could post or email me a photo of the back section that would be great

BTW
Is there a cover over the front section or was your fuel line just dirty or painted?

Thanks,
Fred

The part number for 40-50, 40-52, and 40-62 are all the same.  If you need some more pictures I may have some.  Don't forget the rear section has a portion of it covered to prevent rock damage as it crosses under the frame.
