I have what looks to be all the parts for the grille frame (in about 8 pieces  :-[ ) and the ~34 left and right valance pieces.

Are there any companies reproducing the grille frames/inserts or anybody have some insight as the the best way to go about the task of restoring it myself?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean Chris that you don't have all the other pieces? or you just want to know how to restore it? The frame is of coarse die cast pot metal so you would have to find a way of joining it together for chroming. A competent chrome company should be able to do that or at least steer you in the right direction, as for all the pressed bars? could be a big problem as there are many different sizes, guess you would have to find a fabricator to make up a former of some sort who could then make the different sizes, then you would have to get them chromed. There was a battered 36 grill on eBay a few weeks back but you don't see them often.
I have never heard of anyone reproducing these grills in my 13 years of owning a 36, the 60 grill is smaller so you have to avoid them.
If it helps I can give you dimension's but I don't think all my cross bars are correct sizes.

Thanks for the info and reply, Steve.

I will take some pictures and post them since a verbal explanation leaves a lot to be desired. Being that I'm a 3rd owner and the grille is one of only a few main parts that need serious attention I'm "picking up where someone else left off".

I have been fortunate enough to see a locally restored/owned 36-7519 and seen that there are actually 35 shutter/pressed bars to my grille. I've heard that there are actually 3-4 different grilles for the 36 model year, based on which series you have.

I did see that 36 grilled and radiator shell and wasn't able to get enough info from the seller before end of auction. I did bid it up, but like many other items, I lost out to the final bidder in the last 10 seconds!!! It only closed for around $175 and even if it were the incorrect fitment, it was a good deal!!

Basic Explanation of what I'm faced with --

The grille frame has been busted (pot metal) into about 8-9 pieces. Like a puzzle, I'm able to more or less complete it's desired shape by laying it out, but I'm SURE some of the pieces are gone. I have about 25 shutter/pressed bars complete/still revited ,but I'm thinking there are about ~35 for a properly complete grille.

Steve,
Thought I'd be the last one to know!  But I believe he is indicating that to stimulate some interest, he has posted a "non-message" to Bump this thread to the top of the list of current postings.
