Hi All,

As you may already know, Art Gardner and I swapped cars earlier this year.  I'm now getting around to really starting on my new newport blue 54 coupe.  It still needs an interior, exhaust system, and some minor assembly work.  I'm wondering if anyone may have a current part number for the differential pinion seal.  Mine is leaking and I'd like to get it replaced.  I work in auto parts, but I've yet to be able to find a current number and I'd rather not try to find this from a Cadillac vendor if I can buy it on the shelf at my own store.  Thanks everyone :)  Sorry it's been a while since I've posted.  Life has gotten rather hectic.

Kanter was the only source I could find last year.

napa part number nos18948 is listed as for a 1954 Cadillac-at $43.99. I bought the same thing from "dreamflyer" on eBay last year for $19.99.

Here is a link to what dreamflyer is selling now ---- I did not look at all of his items closely.

Thanks for the replies guys!  I certainly appreciate all of the help.  This will be my last posting as I am deleting my account here.  I got a lovely email just a few minutes ago saying that I violated the rules by not posting my last name in my closing signature.  I have edited that to reflect my initial.  I have not been on this forum in quite some time and was unaware of all of this new nonsense.  Anyways, I've gotten a lot of helpful and useful info and insight from all of you, but I think this is becoming a little too serious.  Just a tad too much for me when I get in trouble for not posting my last name.  I wish you all the best!!

Jeff,

If you are still monitoring the list, would you send a private message to dadscad@hotmail.com? I have a question regarding Alvin A.

Thanks,
David

David,
Click on the word "Email" on the left under his "handle" in his post, that should open a blank email with his address on it.
