The November edition of Car Collector Chronicles features the El Morocco, a Cadillac clone for lack of a better term.  The folks here may find it of particular interest.  Here is the link -

I was watching "Chasing Classic Cars" this week and there was an auction were one of these sold for 200k plus.  While I was watching this, I'm thinking the very Brougham's this car was knocking off are selling for a 100k less.  Go figure.  A cobbled up Chevy is going for more than a real Eldorado Brougham.

So keep your China look-a-like watchs because some day, they will be worth more than the original product.

I suspect the law of supply and demand was at play here?  Yes, it is a Chevy, sort of, but there were only 37 or so ever manufactured over the 2 yr. manufacturing life span.

I understand that somehow or other, someone did manage to get one titled in the state of MI with the make listed as El Morocco, as opposed to Chevrolet.  I have no way of knowing if that was a result of employee error, or from knowing someone within the DMV, or what.  Of the 37 or so ever made, to have one titled as an El Morocco adds to the rarity.
