Hi all, The evaporator on my '66 DeVille has failed. Does anyone know where to go/look for either a replacement or rebuild? Thank you

If it leaks  at a fitting or the upper or  lower tank, I have had radiator shops repair them as long as the core is good, the evap is the low pressure side of the system.

Mil,
As Dave says, check to see that the fittings are not the source of the leak.  If in fact the seams or the core itself is leaking, I personally wouldn't try and fix it.  Evaporators are still available, and I would try Old Air in Forth Worth first.  Cad USA is where I bought my last evaporator (coincidentally for my '66), and it actually came from Texas.  Possibly  Old Air itself.

Dave, you are right the evaporator is on the low pressure side of the system. UNTIL the system is shut off, and the entire system equalized.  Frequently at near the working high side pressure on a hot day.
