Hi everyone, I have a question regarding my tires for my 59 coupe deville.  The tire on there now is an H78-15, id like to switch these 50 year old Sears tires for some radial ones.  What would the new size be for this particular tire?  is there anything other than the H-78-15 that id need?

I believe that would be the 225-75R-15. Someone might correct me, but I think that is it.
That is what I just put on mine today. Bought a set of Hankook tires. Very nice riding tire, and quiet. 80,000 miles warranty too.

Found a chart.

On a 59 CDV I would run the 225 R 75 15" or the 235's.

The whitewall's would of course look the nest.  Coker tire, Diamondback Classics, Universal Tire and others have them.

There's a set of Diamondback Classic's on the 60 Convertible I have and they look and ride great.

H tires are too small for a 59 Cadillac. They should have been  L's which became 235's.
