Anyone besides me notice the wrist watches on ebay, from Hong Kong, with the C LC Club logo on the dial?

How do these guys get away with that?

The Asians, especially the folks in Thailand and Hong Kong are experts at faking
anything and everything.  They ignore the international trademark infringement laws
since they can get away with it.

These watches are cheap, movement and watch cost to make about $10.  I used to
visit Thailand frequently and saw fake Cartier and other women's watches for $15 each.
When they conk out (they last about 5 years) you toss them.  I've also seen fake Rolex
pieces which for $25 each were amazing.

They also fake Gucchi and every other high fashion name you can think of.  Just don't
get caught in customs!

The street vendors in NYC also have them but at higher prices.

I see it went unsold and was re-listed, for $14 bucks with shipping it still makes a nice shelf piece even if it only works for 5 years.

I didn't bid on it last time because I had a dalima, it's a nice watch for a club I'm a member of but do I want to support a company who uses our club logo without regard to having the rights use it?

I have a digital watch I got about 20 years ago with The 1903 "Cadillac" script and the 1964-2000 Logo, I think I paid $2 for it wholesale when I bought about 6.

I inquired of them and they agreed to remove it as they did not have the authorization to use the Club logo. Would rather they had sought permission as it looked, at least superficially, like a nice piece of jewelry.

Well, I shall keep my eye out for how long it stays removed.  Somehow, I suspect is shall be back?
