I just picked up a fiberglass parade boot for my 1960 62 series convertible.  I know it's not correct for show but they look great on these cars.

I have a few questions and need to borrow the leather parts that snap to the interior panel as a pattern, if anyone has any that are removed from the boot sections.

1.  On the soft boot, the part that attaches to the top of the back seat sits in a track.  I have always left it in this track, even with the top up.  It looks like you slide this out to one side to remove.  Does the front edge of the hard boot sit in this track?  It looks like it would go right in there.

2.  There are spring tabs on the sides of the smaller pieces, but I don't see a pivot spring type of clip that I have seen on other boots.  Where can I get them?

3.  What other parts on the car are different on the Eldorado's that came with the hard boot.

Thanks.  I will add photos to this post shortly.

G'day Brian, If you intend to use both the soft boot and hard boot on a series 62, then you will need to add the dogleg Z brackets that go either side of the back seat left and right of the track that will support the hard boot sides.
These chromed Z brackets are about 1 3/4 inches sq and are fixed to the back of the seat with two screws. There is a plate added to the wire frame of the back seat to screw thru. This bracket (lh and rh) is the only extra piece on the car that you require. You need to look at another Eldo. 57 thru 60 have the same mounting style.
I had both boots on my 60 conv (since sold) unfortunately I don't have any pics. A 60 with a parade boot looks sharp.

Thanks for your response.  Sounds like i will have to get some photos and fabricate these parts.  I hope someone may be able to take pictures of these for me.  So they screw to the back of the rear seat, facing into the well?  Running parallel to the rear quarters?  There are two little bolt heads on the edges of the boot center section about half way back.  Do these sit in anything?

Thanks,

Brian
