I have some weird things going on with my internal electronics:

1) The driver side door courtesy light on the "pillar" stays on constantly.

2) The clock (Pass side dash) is non functional

3) The pass side door switch does not actuate the interior lights, instead when I push it manually I hear a clicking noise, like you might hear from the power locks.

I have not begun to troubleshoot any of these, just wanted to throw out my problems to see if anyone has has a similiar experience and might have suggestions.

Thanks ahead.

1.For the courtesy light staying on, check to see that the head light switch is not rotated fully counter clockwise, thus energizing the courtesy lights, and if not , check the door switch, it might be shorted.
2. If you have power to the clock and it is not running, it needs repair.  Clocks of this era fail quite frequently.  I think I replaced the clock in my '72 three or four times in the first couple of years.  I had it converted and it has run ever since.
3.The switch you are actuating is the seat back lock release, not the courtesy light switch.
There should be two switches on the door jam.

Thanks for the reply:

How did you have your clock converted? Please elaborate.

I dont know about the conversion but apparently what kills them is when the car sits and the battery dies the motor burns up due to the low voltage.  If your car is going to sit either unhook the battery or at least remove the clock fuse.

I had mine (several cars actually) done by "the clockworks", and I was extremely satisfied with their results.

Was it converted to a quartz movement?

Chris,
That is what they told me.  I haven't a clue what that really means, but that is what they said they had done.
