The Cadillac & LaSalle Club and the CLC Museum & Research Center lost a great friend and supporter Friday when Jerry Karasinski succumbed after a three-time battle with cancer.  Jerry spent nearly every Thursday with me working in the archives of the CLCMRC, he handled the orders for Museum Calendars, he distributed the Standard, the Motor City Region monthly newsletter, and was the Motor City Membership Chairman.  He helped with Judging and Tabulation at every Grand National meet for many years, and was a regular host at the CLC Hershey tent.

Jerry drove the 1941 Cadillac 62 convertible he restored from Redford, Michigan  to the Kansas City GN, where it won First Place and the Ansel Sackett award.  He was too ill to drive to this year's GN, even though he hoped to be able to make it until the last minute.

We will miss you, Jerry.   You were one of the folks who made the CLC great, with your quiet enthusiasm.  You were never one to make your presence known, but we knew you were there.    Paul Ayres #5640

Jerry was a craftsman with any brand of automobile while also generous, kind, patient, and unselfish with his knowledge. The quality of his workmanship is only surpassed by his wonderful character and ethics. He exemplified conscientiousness. My thoughts and prayers are extended to his family and significant other.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

To fellow members,
Jerry was one of those guys who you could always count on. He would step up and pitch in whenever required. His unassuming manner and dedication to family and friends will always be remembered. Thank you Jerry,
it was our pleasure to have known you.

Tim Pawl,
Past President CLCMRC
