I have a working AM-FM in nice cosmetic condition.  It's part of a lot of parts I purchased from an older Cadillac collector looking to thin out his stash of goodies.  Not sure what year, I have photos below of the radio and the part number on the chrome front bezel.

Thanks,

Brian

Looks like the one in my 63, also. First year for Am/Fm was 63. Although it was mono for 63/64, not stereo. What year did stereo Fm appear?

The number showing on the chrome bezel is 7282405 with a 2 under that.  I'm not sure if it's a part number for the bezel or the radio and any paper stickers or labels are long gone.  If all of the years mentioned interchange I guess it will fit any of those years?

Can't find anything definitive in my parts book. In appearance it looks like '63 to '66. Also, '66 was the first year for stereo.

You may well be able to bolt these radios in place of one another, but they are not the same. The following is from illustrations in data books.
1963 on the dial next to 7 and 12 a tiny triangle ( civil defense station location) No round dots
1964 on dial no dots between numbers
1965 on dial dots between numbers ( 5.5 . 7 . 9 . . 12 . 14 . 16)
1966 first year for stereo , word stereo in amber letters in center of dial when stereo signal is avalible.
Internally they are more different , you may be able to confirm the above if you take the cover off . The paper diagram may still be inside.Warren

Thanks for the info.  Looks like it's a 65 radio.

I just acquired a 1965 AM-FM Cadillac radio. I own a 1963 Sedan de Ville with an AM radio that has terrible static when you adjust the volume knob. I want to get rid of that AM radio and install this 1965 radio. Do any of you electronics experts out there think it will work OK?
