Could anyone estimate how many 1953 coupe devilles left in roadworthy condition in the world today,I know a lot of them were used for donor cars for eldo restos so it may be surprising how many are left, does any one know?

There were 14,550 CDV's made in 1953 but just 532 Eldorado's.

I doubt that the restorations of the Eldo's would have put much of a dent
in that number for parts cars since so few Eldorados were made.  Most all
of these are well documented by serial number.  Perhaps a few CDV's were sacrificed for parts.

You might want to check the Intrnational Membership Directory to how many
'53 CDV's are registered in the Club.  That at least will give you some idea of road-worthy examples.  Other than that, I have no idea to help you come up with
a "how many are left" answer.  This is a common question for many models that has no simple answer.
