I need to have an appraisal done on a car. If anyone has used Auto Appraisal Group (AAG) of  Charlottesville VA I’d appreciate your recommendations and comments both  pro and/or con. Please contact me directly at rfm45@optonline.net

Thanks,

Hello Ralph

Tim Pawl email address pawl@earthlink.net CLC Motor City Region member is an appraiser in the Michigan area. Contact him for a recommendation to evaluate the car. He is very reliable.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

I had an inspection done by AAG in Vero Beach Florida. Honestly I was not impressed with the outcome vs the actual car's issues. To be fair, this was my first experience with such specifically and with the classics generally. On the other hand as time progresses I find more and more occurrences of missed stuff that an impartial 'judge' shouldn't have missed. If you need specific details email me.

If I were to do it again I would take the approach of references from folks in the classics world such as have been given here, or from club members locally to the area in which the car placed.

I used these folks - http://www.automobileinspections.com/about-us.asp - to inspect a ;56 CDV for me, and was very satisfied.  The report was comprehensive and provided plenty of pics for me to eyeball.  The report convinced my NOT to pull the trigger on a contemplated purchase!  I would use them again.
