Hi there,

My name is sebastiaan, and I'm from The Netherlands,
so please excuse my grammatical and typing faults please.

Last week I bought myself a '67 coupe DE ville, and i decided to sign up here for some more info and perhaps to get some access to parts (there quite hard to get,or hard to pay over here! :bonkers: )

The story of the car that the previous owner told me was that a couple of owners ago a men in ported the coup here in '95
probably It's from California.

The coupe is pretty worn out,and is in desperate need of some TLC,especially cause the winter time is starting over here, some storms an snow to fight against. The plan is (in time) to remove the vinyl top,get the windows going again, refurbish the interior, and may by If theres some cash left,I'd like to spray it flat gray, and put a airride on it.
But the first thing to do is get some new hood and window rubbers, there VERY hard to get here.

I'll try to attach some pics here, but dunno If Ill succeed.

Cheers,Seb

That car looks much better than you described!

Welcome!! You'll get lots of help on this forum. I'm in California and it can be difficult to get parts. I can't imagine what you'll go through there. From what you describe of your plans for the car you may want to post to the Modified forum also.

Off topic: I'm curious, are there any Conklins there in the Netherlands? I've always heard I'm Dutch, just wondering...

Again, welcome. Join the CLC!

Hello Sebastiaan!

Thank you for your post and welcome to our forum.  That's a nice Coupe DeVille
you have.  No need to apologize for your English -- it's very good.

Perhaps you didn't know but there is an active Cadillac Affiliate Club in the
Netherlands.  I'm sure that these folks could help you with information as to
where to get parts, technical advice, local help, etc.

thanks for the welcome everyone,

I just signed up for the dutch caddy forum *thanks Mike Josephic CLC !!*
but it doesn't exist any longer, the new ad res seems to be: http://www.dutchcadillac.nl

@Chris Conklin : in theory the most Americans should be from dutch origin,in the middle ages our ancestors killed the Indians, robbed there land, and started America *no worry's,Officially I'm Italian!*.
For example: New York originally was named new Amsterdam (capital of The Netherlands),Harlem comes from Haarlem.

But to awnser to you re question: you re name does not exist over here, the way I read it,Its real American, nothing like our Dutch names (as Jansen,Pietersen) sorry! :-[
