I am putting the windows back in the doors of my ’61 convertible and have run into a problem.  I installed the regulators and the windows with no problem, but regulator runs out of travel and the windows will only go halfway up.

The only thing I can think of is that I have mixed up the right and left regulators.   I did take the motors off the clean and grease them.  I would have sworn that I did them one at a time so I didn’t mix them up, but it maybe I did them at the same time.   I wanted to check here if there might be other reason for this before I go and take them all apart again.

I am attaching a picture of the door where you can see the regulator installed.
Thanks for any feedback.

Page 15-30 of the shop manual has a diagram of the system. If you look at it, you might be able to campare with how yours is installed, and note any errors.

If you don't have a shop manual, email me at home (I'm listed in the Technicians" section, and in the Directory) and I'll send you a scan via email.
