Any easy ways to get the float to become unstuck?  The fuel indicator stays on full tank all the time.  I saw some replacement fuel float apparatus on line for about $100.

I have trouble believing the car would run normally with the float stuck wide open.  I would be looking elsewhere for the cause of your problem.  Have you pulled the codes displayed on the DIC?  What do they indicate?

I know that a '91 Allante is worlds apart from the old cars I'm most familiar with, but in the old days if the wire to the float, or the ground from the tank, became disconnected the gauge would read full all the time.  If that's the case on yours it's often an easy fix.  Try grounding the tank first.

I second the loss of ground possibility.  Another probability is that the filter sock inside the tank has deteriorated and some of it may be caught in the float arm mechanism?
