Hi,
I have the little brake reservoir that bolts to the firewall off of my 55 does anyone know if it is supposed to be painted or just left bare aluminum? The cap is cast is that supposed to be painted or left bare metal ?

Thanks,
Bob

It's supposed to have a silver "bare metal" look.

The cap is cast bare metal, the tube that the cap attaches to is also bare
metal silver color as well as the line down to the master cylinder.

However, you may want to give them a shot of clear to avoid the rusting
that will happen if they're unprotected.
