Likely not a fuse... that was changed. Looking to buy this car but the windows (none of them) go up or down. Any ideas? Looking for a bad connector? Keep in mind that I'm not too technically saavy. Is there anything specific to this car to look our for with this issue?

Does the rest of the electrical stuff appear to work?   Im thinking of stuff that would only be on with the key like the radio?  Maybe the ignition switch is not completely working?

The windows should be a circuit breaker, 25amp I think.

First place to be looking would be the drivers door.  Everything runs through there because of the lock out switch.

Did 76 have some sort of an interlock for the top?

Somewhat recently deceased daily drivers, 80 Eldo Diesel & 90 CDV
And other assorted stuff I keep buying for some reason

TJ,

No top interlock or automatic lowering of the windows.

Sounds like circuit breaker, as you mentioned.  I would probe for voltage at the master switch.

Is this the Eldo that had its color changed?  Maybe they damaged the driver's door wiring while painting the door jambs.  As TJ says, all window power runs through the driver's door.

Nothing that can't be fixed, probably for little money (but maybe lots of time tracing a short).  But get the price down some more because of it.

I would check that all of the connectors are on the switch plate on the drivers door. Undo the one screw to the front of the plate and it should lift out from the front first. Those connectors don't snap real tight as they get old.
