Gentlemen,

I have searched U-Tube and gotten more confused.

Are the interior door handles suppose to be horizontal OR at a lower level to ease openening?

Thank you, Richard

Richard,

FWIW, the sale literature show the handle as in your photo, but tilted downward at about a 45 degree angle.

Ralph,

Do you have a photo you can easily attach so that I may view it?

If not, thank you for the info.

Richard,

The attached is from the '48 sales brochure. All models are shown with the handles in this manner.

Richard,

Notwithstanding the brochure drawing, having these facing towards the passenger is counter intuitive. On my car, after much experimentation, we figured the most logical position for all of them is pointing forward and down at around 45% away from the person, as per this picture. It seems most comfortable and least dangerous!

Ralph, thank you for taking the time to show me exactly how it is suppose to be.
John, that is another thought and idea with safety in mind.  I have thought about leaving them as is, for safety sake.  Then again, I do not have anyone young riding with me in this car. So it is something to consider.
