hood removal 1941 cadillac

can anyone advise the best way to remove the hood  from a 41 series 60 special thanks john m

Its been 9 years since my 41 but I seem to remember you undo the bolts attaching it to the hinge mechanism just under the back edge and lift it leaving the hinge and cross bracket in place.

I drilled a small hole in each hinge through the hood bracket to properly align it with a finish nail after hood install.
