Hello!  Does anyone have access to drawings or good pictures of the front clip assembly for the 1941 model 62 cars?  I'm putting my 6227D coupe together (trying to get it ready for nationals) and have some questions about bracing and other inner fender baffles and parts.
Thanks,

Harry,
Wow, that explosion of the radiator/grille area is really helpful. Part 6.1339 was really a mystery to me.  Mine are chromed and it seems really odd that they'd go where they do.  You'd think it would just be fender welt in there. I kept thinking that these were interior pieces, but they just didn't fit anywhere.
I also have two braces that appear to be cast (slighty U shaped about 3/4" wide) and  about 18" long with a hole at either end. But they don't look factory made.  They're in some of the first pictures that I posted on the restoration blog.  They're on the floor of the garage with the other front end parts.

Do you happen to have something that similarly shows the front fender braces/inner panels?  Fitting these front fenders is turning out to be a big adventure.
Thanks again,

Those parts are supposed to be chrome ken and theres no fender welt around them but when I restored my 41 I couldn't bear the thought of metal to metal so I had a thin gasket both sides of them.

Scott,
I couldn't agree with you more.  I'll cut some thin gasket material and slide it in there.  I'm still trying to figure out a few pieces that I know must attach the fenders (near the firewall) to the frame.  There are two that look like fan blades and two twisted braces about 6" long (16ga. steel) and one similar to those two but about 18" long with two screw holes spaced about 1" apart at one end and one 3/8th " hole in the other.
Thanks,
Ken
